The Belgian Virtual Tigers was launched in 1999 by a group of flightsim-enthousiasts who organised themself as a team on the internet.
It started as a small team because all the members live in Belgium, but soon they became friends with the bigger squadrons on the net and they became well known.
The team members met regullary in real life and that made them closer friends which was also visible on the internet.

During the first years the only flight simulator the squadron used was Combat Flight Simulator 1. But later, at the end of 2000, things evolved and we started flying on Flight Simulator 2000. In 2000 we made our first demo presentation at Brussels on the Belgian national holiday, 21st July. Since then the demo presentations have become a routine. Every year we visit multiple aviation related events with our complete setups, such as Koksijde airshow, Sanicole airshow, Waddington airshow,..

The Belgian Virtual Tigers also parcticipated in Lan based competitions with great succes. In 2001 we participated at the Lowland Tigermeet and won almost every price for the Combat Flight simulator competition and the Falcon 4.0 Refuel competition.

In 2003 we participated again at the Lowland Tigermeet and the squadron won the main price, the Falcon 4.0 squadron competition.

Currently our WW2 simulator is IL2 Forgotten Battles, for civil flight we go to MS Flight Simulator 2004, but at the moment most of our members are flying the F-16 flight simulator Falcon 4.0.

When we are flying we try to take things as real as possible.
We take the flying seriously but next to that, the first rule of thumb for our squadron is to have fun!
We have regular Lan meetings( almost once a month) and you'll see that it is all about having fun, and at the same time trying to do things as good as possible.

We accept all kinds of pilots, from rookies till veterans, and we try to help everyone.
Our goal is to have fun, be kind and most important to be honest to everyone.
