After recent escalations, North-Korea is relocating long range missile launchers to positions from which they can strike several high value targets in the South-Korean peninsula. To demonstrate that the ROK is capable of a quick reaction to any threat, a show of force will be done south of the DMZ. In case this is met with hostile intent, however, an offensive counter-air will be launched immediately. The Belgian Virtual Tigers were part of this back-up, standing by for launch on Chongju Airbase.

As was feared, the DPRK engaged and the Belgian Virtual Tigers were called upon. How that went can be seen in the following video.

Close formation practice. Not always as smooth as you expect it to be. Can somebody please bring me a new pair of trousers?!

Last Wednesday, we concluded our basic ACM training phase and divided in two 2v1 fights, we took to the skies with 6 aircraft. For the occasion, Faan made this superb video.

With the basics now well understood by everyone, we move up to advanced ACM, in which we will start improving on the use of air-to-air missiles, and gradually increase the number of (asymmetric) opponents.

Last Wednesday, Doc, Eagle-Eye and Scorpion took to the skies for a 2v1 Air Combat Manoeuvring (ACM) Training. Having only guns on their jets, they had to get real close and personal - commonly known as "dogfighting" - making it a lot harder but all the more spectacular to get the job done.

Eagle-Eye and Scorpion both had a camera attached to their helmets, allowing us to share some footage with you. Enjoy !!

    2. About Us

The Belgian Virtual Tigers are a group of 11 friends, active in various online flight simulators. Our focus is to simulate the F-16 in Falcon 4 BMS 4.32.

    Who are we?
Starting back in 1999 as a group of flight sim enthusiasts, some friends organised themselves as a small virtual team. Small because all the members live in Belgium, but as the squadron grew we have become well-known internationally.

    What do we do?
It all started with Microsoft’s Combat Flight Simulator 1, but later on, things evolved and we started flying civil aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 as well. Growing on through several flight simulators we are now mainly focusing on Falcon 4 BMS 4.32 (BMS in short), flying the F16, and try to fly together at least 2 times a week (most often Wednesday and Saturday evenings), to keep our skills up to a certain level. We aim to simulate real life as close as possible, but our primary objective is mainly to have fun.

Next to BMS, some of us are also active in Microsoft's Flight Simulator X.
